Which Way Does the Grill Line Go in Thomson?

Somebody needs to set up a direction for the grill line in Thomson. Most of the time that is one of the more popular lines, and yet it is so unorganized it’s not even funny.

The problem probably started when the line for hamburgers or grilled cheese or something of that sort got so long that it blocked the sandwich lines. Well, either that or the ketchup and mustard were put in a corner where you would have to cut through the line in order to get to them.

So, somebody had the bright idea to make the grill line go in a different direction (across that back room). If things had ended there it would have been a nice solution and everyone would be happy.

But it didn’t. The next day at lunch the line was again creeping toward the sandwich lines. The same thing happened at dinner. This cycle repeated itself and everyone was under the impression that the line moving was a one time thing.

Except last night at dinner it was again moving across that back room. And they had the good hamburgers too, so you can imagine the dismay when it was found out that instead of 2 or 3 people in line there were closer to 20 or 30. That’s a big difference.

After thinking about this, it is easy to notice that all of the lines seem to run into another. It’s not like the new layout of Thomson is crap. It actually looks fairly nice. But whoever designed it focused way too much on form and forgot about function.

All that needs to be done is a direction be both chosen and stuck with for the grill line, no matter how many people are waiting. And if some sort of line separating system can be set up so that people in the sandwich line don’t think that people getting a drink are cutting that would be great too.
